Too Much Wrestling

So any amount of wrestling for most people is too much wrestling.  i understand that, but I've been watching wrestling for more than 20 years so I've gotten used to it.  In fact I got done writing an entire blog post about it just a minute ago that didn't save so now I'm going to write about it for a second time.  Yea, wrestling has been a long part of my life.

As of yesterday, the start of the 5 days of wrestling hell has begun.  Yesterday was the WWE Hall of Fame.  It was a good class with the likes of DDP, Teddy Long, and Kurt Angle being inducted.  It was also 4.5 hours long.  If you wanted to, you could have watched an extra hour of red carpet stuff.  But that's just too much.

Now before I get too far in this and are wondering how I could watch that much, I will let you know that when I watch wrestling it is usually with something else on a different screen or while playing a video game.  I watch when something interesting is happening, so I may not watch a bit of it for 20+ minutes.  Oh and that 4.5 hours was also just the beginning.

Tonight is the NXT ppv, which will run about 3 hours.  NXT is the WWE's development league, and at times is more entertaining than the main shows.  This is due to the fact that NXT has a lot of best wrestlers in the world that just have never made it to the main roster in WWE yet.  Names that people that watch any wrestling besides WWE would know are big.

Tomorrow is the big show, Wrestlemania.  It starts at 4pm with the pre show.  4 PM!!!  The pre show doesn't just go over what's going to be on the main show, it actually has matches that wouldn't fit in the main show.  Why?  Cause you have nothing better to do that's why!

Wrestlemania itself starts at 6pm and runs about 4 hours.  Wrestlemania is always a toss up on whether it will be good or not.  It could be great or it could completely suck.  This year seems to be leaning more towards sucking.  There is some great stuff on the card, but not enough.  It could surprise me, but I don't have high hopes.

So far, you would have endured about 13.5 hours of wrestling.  Feeling drained yet?  Well, we're not done yet!  The next day is Monday Night RAW.  A 3 hour show that tends to be better than Wrestlemania.  Why?  Because big names either debut or return and everything they do is to set up where things go from there.  Wrestlemania is like the season finale.  RAW is the season premier.  All within a 24 hour period.

When Tuesday rolls around you're just about sick of wrestling and want to crawl into a ball.  But this time you get to watch Smackdown Live.  Last year Smackdown was still on Thursday if I remember correctly so you had a reprieve.  But fuck it, we're still going.  Smackdown has a different roster than RAW and writing is also better, so it tends to be a better show.  Now with it being live it should also have a similar feeling as RAW, so it should leave things on a good note.

You've made it.  You survived wrestling hell.  If you watched it all, you made it through around 18.5 hours of wrestling.  No mortal should ever watch that much wrestling.  But you just did and now you're stronger for doing so.  If you can watch that much wrestling in a 5 day period, you can do anything.

And if you made it through this post, you also should give yourself a round of applause.  You a made it through a post about someone talking about wrestling.  And that wasn't even me talking about why wrestling can be great.  It was just me talking about how much wrestling I'm going to endure.

Say a prayer for me, even though I will probably enjoy some of what I watch this weekend.  Wrestling can be good.  It can also be really dumb.  Just look up the Hardy Boys Delete stuff or Southpaw Championship Wrestling (done by WWE) if you want to see some good dumb stuff.  Or don't, you're probably better off!

The Early Years

When I was born my parents lived in a mobile home in Hilbert, WI.  They had a cat before I was born and it didn't take to kindly to having me around all of a sudden.  They had to get rid of it as it had a tendency of trying to sleep on my face, which a baby tries enough to kill itself when it's young but having a cat, unintentionally I'm sure, trying to help with it wasn't good.  After awhile they decided they needed a bigger house and rented one in Bay Ridge which is in Appleton, WI.  They didn't actually sell the mobile home, but rented it instead so they were able to make some money from that as well as their jobs. My earliest memory was when I was three and I was playing with some Matchbox cars on the floor in the morning and my mom in a rush to get to work accidentally stepped on one of my favorite cars, crushing it.  An odd memory to be your first, but none the less that's what it is.  My best friend while living there was a girl name Ashley.  ...

Opening My Mouth

When I was younger and getting bullied, one of the things I was encouraged to do was talk to the guidance counselor.  Normally this is a good thing to do.  If you're in trouble you should talk to someone that can help. Now, I won't say it's the counselor's fault, but talking to her did not help at all.  In fact all it really did was cause everything to get worse.  At some point I just stopped talking.  I made some changes, got some payback, and the one time it started happening during my Freshman year, I didn't last too long before taking matters into my own hands (well fist). The one thing that I (unfortunately) learned from that was that saying how I feel is a bad thing.  I know I've most likely talked about this before, but it is really important.  It's something that has never really disproven itself over my life. I take the 2 instances I've told someone that I like them.  Yes, there are only two instances that this has happened.  Both...

Thanos Was Right

Spoilers for Avengers Infinity War Below First off, a movie is a movie.  It's fake, and even when it's based on true events it is still fake.  But sometimes you see something about a movie and it makes you think about the modern world and human nature and it kind of makes you think.  Avengers Infinity War would not really be one of those movies but then I saw this article and I actually had to disagree with it. The article argues that Thanos' solution of eliminating half of the universe's population was a plot hole.  If he had ultimate power, why wouldn't he just double all of the resources?  The simple answer is that the movie needed a villian and Thanos was already established, and though he did it because some lady didn't want him (that lady being Death) in the comics, they still gave him a good "evil" reason to do it in the movie.  He witnessed his planet destroy itself as it exhausted its resources even after he warned them that it was going ...
